FAQs

As your Personal Life Coach, I will help you reach your goals in every area of your life.

1. What is a Life Coach?

A Certified Life Coach is a person who helps you find focus, identify your goals, track your progress, and stay motivated along the way.

2. Why are so many people now using Professional Life Coaches?

When you have a professionally trained Life Coach working with you, you have a trained support coach–someone who knows what to do, knows how to guide you, and who stays with you, helping you get through the obstacles and reach your goals. Your Personal Life Coach is a mentor, a guide, and a motivator, giving you objective feedback, encouragement, and non-stop support.

3. What are the benefits I will receive from working with a Professional Life Coach?

__You will have a trained professional focusing completely on you and what you want to achieve.

__You will have help identifying what your really want, in every important area of your life, and you wil ahve help getting it.

__You will get help and assistance, not just now and then. You will have help week after week.

__You will have help finding your focus, creating the right attitude and the right actions, overcoming obstacles, tracking your progress, and staying motivated!

4. How does Life Coaching work?

We will meet once a week (or otherwise) by phone or Zoom, for a one-on-one (or group) conference, usually for 30 or 60 minutes, depending on the plan you choose. In each meeting, we will plan and review, together, each of your “focus goals” and action areas.

In each session, you will also receive support and guidance in creating the right attitudes and motivation in the areas that you want to work on most.

In addition to the weekly phone or Zoom sessions, we will also communicate by email to answer any questions or concerns that may arise between sessions.

5. What areas does a Life Coach focus on each session to help me most?

Along with defining, setting, and tracking your goals, we will focus on every important aspect of your attitudes and actions that determine your success in each area of interest in your life:

__Job and Career
__Personal Growth
__Money and Finances
__Self-Perception
__Personal Relationships
__Health and Fitness
__Personal Organization
__Quality of Life

Every life coaching session is carefully structured to make our time together easy and enjoyable. At the sane tine I will guide you, step by step, toward the practical achievement of each of your goals.

6. Is Coaching the same as Counseling?

Many people confuse coaching with counseling, but the two are not the same. What is the difference?

Whereas counseling looks backward to determine root causes of emotional problems, coaching looks forward to encourage people in their life purpose.

Whereas counseling helps people with deeply rooted emotional issues who are having challenges moving forward, coaching serves people who are emotionally healthy and ready to move forward with their lives.

If you are ready to move forward with pursuing your goals and dreams, then coaching is for you.

7. How long is the coaching process?

The coaching process can last anywhere from one-time to a year or more. It all depends on the client’s assessment of his or her progress and satisfaction. Good results are achieved with a minimum of three months of coaching. The best results are achieved with a maximum of six to twelve months. Some clients continue beyond a year because they like the continued accountability of a coach.

My personal goal as a coach is to work myself out of a job by helping the client to develop the skills to keep himself accountable to his dreams and goals.

8. How can I “try” Life Coaching to find out if it will work for me?

Dr. MaryAnn Diorio is a lifetime professional member in good standing of the Christian Coaches Network International. She coaches from a Biblical perspective. This means that she bases all of her coaching on the Bible. She describes her coaching method as follows: “When I coach, I hold the Holy Spirit’s hand with my right hand and the client’s hand with my left. My job is to serve as a conduit for the Holy Spirit’s wisdom to flow through me to my client, for only God truly knows what my client needs.”

DISCLAIMER: I am not a licensed counselor. Coaching is not counseling. Counseling seeks root causes of problems in one’s past. Coaching involves emotionally healthy people who need direction and encouragement in moving forward toward their goals.
